Theatre Class Descriptions
Storytelling
(ages 3-6)
Students will embark on a creative adventure into the world of storytelling through dynamic theatre games and activities. Drawing inspiration from captivating children’s literature and other playful texts, they will explore how to use their bodies, voices, and imagination to craft compelling narratives. By incorporating sound, dialogue, and movement, they will collaborate to bring an original piece of theatre to life.
From Story to Stage
(ages 7-10)
Story to Stage students will collaborate as an acting ensemble and use their bodies, voices, and imaginations to explore the core elements of storytelling. Through engaging games and theatrical activities, they will delve into character perspectives, conflict, and story structure, all while developing their creativity and performance skills.
Acting for Tweens and Teens
(ages 11-15)
In this acting technique class, students will build a versatile toolkit of exercises and methods to tackle any role with confidence. Through a variety of games, skits, and activities designed for all levels of experience, they will sharpen their performance skills and boost self-confidence while fostering connections with their peers.
